MHR NZ: September update

Data collection for the September 2010 update for New Zealand users of the MHR Remuneration Service commences on Monday 2 August 2010, and remains available throughout August.

Our aim is to complete data collection by Wednesday 31 August, so that we can provide users with access to results and commentary in the first half of September.

McBride HR Ltd purchases Cubiks’ Rewards Business

The Management of Cubiks and McBride HR Ltd have confirmed that on 1 January 2010, ownership of the Cubiks Rewards businesses in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, including both the CubikSurvey Salary Survey service and the JE Leader online Job Evaluation system, transferred to McBride HR Ltd. With that purchase and transfer, McBride HR assumed all responsibility and obligations for the services previously provided by the Cubiks Rewards business in the United Kingdom and New Zealand.

To reflect the expansion of the business McBride HR has adopted the name MHR Global Ltd. As seen here the company website has been updated to reflect this change.

Both Cubiks and McBride HR firmly believe that the change of ownership will provide significant benefits for clients. With a proven expertise in the delivery of Reward Management services and a dedicated focus on salary and compensation issues, MHR will ensure that all clients continue to receive a high level of support, and retain access to the specialised products and services previously provided on behalf of Cubiks.

Changes to Websites

As you can see our own website has been reformatted to reflect the changes in the business.

The three main product websites have also been reformatted to provide a single consistent look and feel.

The products are:

MHR Insights

The "Insights" pages of this website contain copies of media articles in which MHR staff have contributed comment, and copies of published papers produced by MHR staff.

The papers included in the "Commentary" section have been updated to reflect the new company branding, and have been updated where necessary to provide current examples.

Job Evaluation on-line: JE Leader continues to attract new users

JE Leader Online has continued to attract interest, from organisations wishing to simplify job evaluation processes.

Using JE Leader, authorised users are able to access the evaluation process and records of past evaluations from any internet browser. By coupling the ease of use of the internet, with the innovative approach to job evaluation inherent in the existing application, we are now able to offer a job evaluation service which cannot be matched in terms of efficiency, ease of use and cost-effectiveness by other evaluation solutions.

Evaluation results can also be readily linked to the market analysis offered in MHR Remuneration Reports, to provide clients with the best of two worlds:

  • the ability to set remuneration for many roles by benchmarking against roles for which market data is updated regularly
  • the ability to easily analyse  non-benchmark roles using JE Leader, to provide a measure of internal relativity with other roles, and the ability to derive indicative remuneration values from our market data.

Used together these two systems provide an easily implemented foundation for the development and management of remuneration structures.

Appraisal-Smart: Innovative Performance Management

Appraisal-Smart, the innovative on-line Performance Appraisal platform we offer as part of a global distributor network, is attracting a lot of interest from employers in all sectors, as they review existing performance management processes, and look for solutions which address the limitations of traditional paper-based systems.

Appraisal-Smart has been deliberately designed to focus on functionality and ease of use, presenting a clean and uncluttered interface which improves the efficiency of the performance management processes, while allowing users to retain the core elements (reporting structures, performance measures and rating scales, competencies) of existing systems. The ease of migration to this system - and the speed of implementation this makes possible - is a significant factor in the growing interest in this system worldwide.

As part of an ongoing programme of development the Appraisal-Smart system now offers two new features:

  • An enhanced range of filtering and reporting options
  • Smart360, a web-based 360-degree feedback appraisal system

Details of this highly flexible solution are available here.

Licensed users of the system can log in to the system at the link on the left of this page.
